a. Provide direction for chapters/state councils (all volunteer committees) for the next year. b. Define the scope of the organizations activities in terms of what it will and will not do.

c. Match the activities to the environment/communities in which it operates so that it maximizes opportunities and minimizes threats.

d. Synchronize the organizations activities to its resource capacity.

e. Review and revise your strategic plan.
