Russia is preparing for international competitions

Russia is a great country.

It is famous for its boundless lands,

beautiful cities and picturesque nature.

But the main Russian feature is

people, who are famous for their wide soul and

kind heart.

Sport is one of integral part of living in Russia.

Many people in their childhood tried themselves in

different sports. There is an active

propaganda of healthy way of live

and sport in our country nowadays.

Many sport complexes and

camps for children

and adults are opening

through the country.

XXVII International Summer Universiade will be held in Kazan from 6 to 17 July.

XIV World Championships in Athletics will take place in Moscow from 10 to 18 August . The mascot of

competitions will be Sparrow.

XXII Winter Olympic Games will be held in Sochi from 7 to

23 February 2014 .

XI Paralympics winter games will be held in Sochi from 7 to 16 March 2014.

XXI FIFA World championship on football will be in

2018.

Russia is a leader on global sport arena. Our sportsmen more often win

prizes in international competitions . It is not surprising that competitions of

continental and global level are held in our country.
