CILIP Fellowship Portfolio:How to Link a “File” of Annotated Evidence

to a “Page” Containing Your Evaluative Statement

Maria J Grant, CILIP Fellowship Candidate

(with thanks to Debbie Franks, Chadwick & RAL Libraries, for guiding me through the process)

Log onto the CILIP VLE & click on “CILIP Portfolio”.

Select the “Content” tab & then “Files”.

Right click on the file name you wish to link to and “Copy shortcut”.

Select the “Portfolio” tab of the VLE & select the page of your “Evaluative Statement”.

Select “Edit this page”.

Highlight the area of text you want to link the file to and select the “Insert/edit link” icon.

“Paste” the shortcut into the “Url” box.

Select “Target” & choose “New window”. A future click on the link from your Evaluative Statement will now open in a “New Window”.

Click on “Ok”.

Click on “Save”.

Click on the “Portfolio” tab and select “Evaluative Statement”.

You can now see the link to your document (in this case “job description”) highlighted in the text.
