*He loved the artificial stage lighting as much as other Impressionists loved natural light!

Color technique…PASTELS used like PAINT!

Various ways to get color on the paper…

The regular way- pick up a pastel chalk and draw with it!

Powdered technique- He would mix the pastel powder with hot water or steam and paint it on with a brush!

Fun facts…

Edgar Degas was known for being “a grump”!

When asked why he never married, he replied: "I would live in constant fear that, whenever I completed a new painting, I would hear my wife say ' That's so pretty what you've done there! ".

One of his greatest triumphs; The Little DancerOver 60 sculptures were cast and reside in museums around the globe!
