1. Have a good programme, with useful ideas, and be able to spread it.

• To be elected you need to have a good programme with ideas that can really improve the school

• Do not make promises that can not be maintained

• Spread the programme is the most important pre-election phase

• You can also let you know through the social networks

2. How to organize assemblies

• Decide on a specific topic with a single theme for your school assembly, and approach your school headmaster regarding your idea, and the date on which you'd like to put on the assembly

• Regarding choosing a date, it's important to make sure that your proposed assembly date doesn't interfere withother school events

3. Be a good communicator

• Let the students know what happened during the meetings, any decision that were made and let them know that their ideas are being taken seriously

• You must also know how to communicate with teachers and the headmaster

4. Be approachable

• Taking an active part in meetings, you should have regular meetings with your schoolmates where you listen to students’ problems and requests and note them down

• REMEMBER, you need to be prepared to go to meetings and make yourself heard, but also be willing to listen and discuss; You are there to represent all the different point of view that people in the school may have, so you need to spend the time listening to your schoolmates and be flexible enough to put across a range of opinions
