As a large majority of 75% think the most important feature of a front cover is the main image, I will ensure I dedicate a lot of time into the main image on the front cover for my production. I will focus more on the mise-en-scene, shot type and image quality as a result.

Because the majority want Alt-J to be featured on the cover I have decided to feature them on my cover. Additionally, I think this is a good decision because they are a band I am familiar with so I can replicate them effectively.

Because the majority think ‘XTRA’ is the best masthead for a music magazine, I will use it as the masthead for my music magazine. This is also because it’s connotations suggest a reader is provided with lots of good information, more so than they could find elsewhere. This is how I envisage my music magazine to be.

As the majority prefer the shot of ‘stars’ on a double page spread to be a long shot, I will use a longshot for my double page spread. This will be my decision because the majority agree but additionally because it is the most suited shot type for a double page spread as the image can fill the page and it’s also stereotypical for magazines to use this shot type on a double page spread.
