When a question asks you to round or estimate, you are being asked “about how many?”

Your approximate number will help you solve problems that maybe hard to solve.

When rounding to the nearest ten up to 100. Your answer will be one of the numbers below because they are multiples of ten.

0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90,100

The rule to rounding- 0, 1, 2, 3, 4- round down, 5, 6,7, 8, 9 – round up.

Remembering this poem with the rule will also help you round.
