Welcome to our School…

The teachers & the students of the

7th Primary School of Rethymno

Our school is situated in the western part of the city of Rethymno, at the foothills of the bishopric behind a small but beautiful wood. It was founded in 1964 and became a two-position primary school in a rented building. It moved to its current position in 1986 after theinauguration of the new building.

Moreover it is solar, that means that it uses solar energy for heating.It is built in three levels and it has 12 classrooms, a Science lab, an ICT lab, an Art lab, an aula, a library, et.c. In the yard, there is a basketball court and several very small spaces split in different levels for games and activities.

Our school is one of the largest schools of the city, with 250 students.In our school, in addition to the primary subjects, English, Drama, Music, ICT, PE and Art are also taught.Also we participate in programmes on the Environment, Health education, Culture et.c.

Furthermore our school organizes plenty of events, like theatrical performances, concerts and dances.We are very happy to cooperate with you in the framework of the Comenius programme, to exchange points of view and informationregarding our cities and culture.We are looking forward to welcoming you to our school!
