Storyline.

• The documentary is about the death of a kitchen salesman who was murdered and dismembered by his flatmates who were staying with him at the time. The murderers then scattered the body around the area they lived and began

Type/themes.• Horror,• thriller.,• Murder,• Hidden lies,• Arrest,• Death,• Violence,

Camerawork.• They have used zooms in and out of locations/areas/items

that are significant to the case. They have done this to make the audience feel involved in the investigation and actually feel like they are there.

• They have used a zoom in to the scan of the skull to show the audience where the damage occurred so that we can get a clearer vision of what happened and how.

Mise-en-scene.• The documentary used real people and real situations, it

has used the same locations and the same dates/times to allow the audience to feel like they are more involved in the documentary.

• The documentary uses the real locations and items found in the investigation to allow the audience to feel closer to the investigation.

Sound.

• Both diegetic and non diegetic were used in this documentary. To make the audience understand what was happening the documentary used diegetic sounds of the people who were being interviewed.

• The non diegetic sound has been used to set the mood in each situation to allow the audience to have abuild up of tension in certain moments.

Editing.

• Mainly cuts were used in this documentary to make it seem as real as possible.

• Some fades where used to transition from pictures to allow the audience to see what each item was and how they were linked.

Archive Material.

• Mug shots of the murderers,• Images of maps with boxes of information about what

happened where.

Graphics.

• Images of the killers at the end with text underneath telling us (the audience) how many years they have to serve in prison.
