Traveling Seeds

If seeds do not travel from the parent plant, they would not grow to be healthy, older and taller plants.

Airborne Seeds• Moved by the WIND and are usually light weight• Sample: Orchid and Poppy capsules

Airborne Seeds• Some have wings or tufts or plumes that help them float on

the breeze• Sample: Cattails, milkweed, maple seeds and tumble weeds

Water Traveling Seeds

• Rain washes our seeds from seeds pods• Sample: Coconut and pussy willow
