What is UCLASS?
• It stands for University of Cebu Law Students Society
• It is an organization that shall fosters unity and cooperation, uphold justice and fairness, promote the general welfare, and enhance active participation in civic consciousness.
LOGOS
Principles and Objectives• Adheres to the rule of law, consultative, participatory
and democratic processes, the principle of committed public service, and the precepts embodied in the Code of Professional Responsibility of the legal profession.
• The organization shall promote and develop the welfare of UC law Students in their academic and co-curricular pursuits, endeavor to develop their potential for excellence, support the efforts of the school administration to maintain and continuously improve the academic standards of the UC College of Law in order to produce outstanding members of the legal profession, and help foster nationalism and patriotism as a means of promoting responsible citizenship.
Who are members?• All bona fide students enrolled in the University of
Cebu College of Law shall automatically be members of the organization and all authority thereof emanates from them.
• Duties: 1)Pay membership dues:2)Actively participate in all organization activities;3)Conscientiously promote, advance and seek to attain
the organizational goals and objectives;4)Perform all other duties and responsibilities as may be
vested by the Board and/or the General Assembly.
Membership Dues
• 560 per student every Semester• 150 per student every Summer
Used for:-UCLASS Activities-Bar Operations
Constitution and By-Laws were ratified by the students of the University of Cebu College of Law in a plebiscite held on March 25, 2003, the results of which were formally announced by the Interim Student Government on March 29, 2003, and by the virtue whereof, these Constitution and By-Laws came into full force and effect.
About ALSP
Stands for “Association of Law Students of the Philippines”
-The ALSP is a federation of 67 law schools in the country es-tablished in 1989. It is a regis-tered association with the Se-curities and Exchange Com-mission, an accredited organi-zation by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), Supreme Court and the National Youth Commission under the Office of the President.
