Summary • We are experiencing an epochal transition in the

history of mankind being triggered by four main technological trends:1. Ubiquitous Sensing2. Ubiquitous Connectivity3. Ubiquitous Localization and Timing4. 3D Digital Modeling

• Two main transitional processes:– integration and fusion of space and ground technologies

and infrastructures, aiming at a new, enhanced representation of our physical world

– progressive dematerialization of products and their transformation in services

• In this “New Digital World”, the future of space technologies relies on two words: “integration” and “fusion”.
