You are influencing &

being influenced

all the time…

but you probably

aren’t even aware

of it.

You are even

influencing others

when you do

NOTHING…

By reinforcing their

concepts about YOU.

WAKE UP!

Be aware of the

influence you have &

leverage these

7 Laws For More

Powerful Persuasion.

#1: Like & Trust

People like people…

who are like them.

Find points of similarity to build

rapport. It’s about THEM.

“Like two peas in a pod.”

Who likes these?

Let’s Do A Trust Exercise

Which of the 6 Areas of

Trust do you value most?

Jot down initials of just 3

people you trust the most

& score them 1 - 10 in

each area.

#2: Authority

Zipf’s Law 1. People will narrow their choices to

the top 2 or 3 experts.

The top result in Google gets twice

as many clicks as the second,

which gets twice as many as the

third, and so on.

What that means to you…

If you’re not seen as THE leading

expert or authority then you have

half as much influence, market

share, or income as the person

ahead of you.

Shocking Experiment BANNED.

People were asked to

give electric shocks each

time a wrong answer was

given.

Nearly all complied…

even to the point of

death!

People will blindly follow the

advice of experts & the

instructions of authority figures.

Milgrim’s Law

Titles, uniforms, badges

& objects of status can

add to your authority.

# 3: Commitment

“Chicken was involved

but the Pig was committed.”

People tend to behave

consistent with their choices.

Ask for their commitment &

they will feel compelled to

follow through.

#4: Social Proof

It’s all about RISK avoidance.

Nobody wants to be the first to take

a risk on you. Social Proof shows that

others have already taken that risk.

Zipf’s Law #2:

People tend to “follow the crowd”

The more uncertain we feel, the

more likely we are to follow the

crowd’s choice.

Get as many testimonials, reviews,

pluses, likes, re-tweets, and social

shares as possible.

# 5: Contrast

$1,500 $750

What you asked for. What you wanted.

#6: Reciprocity

Leverages psychological

pressure based on DEBT.

If I do something nice for

you NOW…

… then maybe you’ll do something

nice for me LATER.

People feel a subtle pressure to

balance out the debt.

# 7: Scarcity

• Limited Time

• Limited Quantity

• Limited Availability

Scarcity amplifies demand.

Put EVERYTHING on your

calendar so you can see how

much time tasks really take.

off tasks & are more selective

with their schedule.
