Thesis

Jesus knew our desire to acquire would become an obstruction to the cross.

No one ever finds life in their possessions, but for many people today, materialism masks the cross.

Point One

Greed is not defined by what something cost, but by what it has cost you.

Definition

Everybody dies, but right now you have 100% of the rest of your life to carry the cross and bring others to Christ.

Point Two

Definition

A fool is someone who lives with no concept of God, no concern for others, and not counting for eternity.

Man’s Myth

Life consists in the abundance of your stuff.

FOOL1.Stop trying to meet your need for

self-worth with your net worth, because the only place you can get self-worth is in the scriptures, not in your goods

What you have does not either define or confine who you are or what you are here for.

Point Three

Your worth is established by your worship.

Point Four

FOOL2. Stop trying to meet your need for

self-security in your securities, because the only place you can get security is in the Sovereign, your God

FOOL3. Stop trying to meet your need for

self-satisfaction in your assets, because the only place you can be satisfied is in service by utilizing your spiritual gifts

Carrying your cross allows you to construct something in eternity that time cannot tarnish.

Point Five

Stuff alone does not deliver satisfaction, because satisfaction is a spiritual benefit of consecration to the cross.

Point Six

Fresh Consecration for a Divine Calling

Come Forward for Prayer
