Father-King Suddhodana Mother-Queen Maya Siddhartha was a prince that grew up in luxary He was Kyshatria, a member of a warrior class Death in 483 BC. Siddhartha’s journey was to find enlightenment and find

the meaning of life The missionary is that once Siddhartha became Buddha

he spent the rest of his life traveling across Northern India and teaching people his ideas

Right Thought-Believe in the nature of existence as suffering and in the Four Noble Truths.

Right thought in own words-To see suffering and pain that others experience

Right Intent-Incline toward goodness and kindness

Right Intent in own words-Being kind, generous and respectful

Example-

Right Speech-Abstaining from lying, from divisive speech, from abusive speech, & from idle chatter

Right Speech own words-Don’t lie and avoid gossip.

Example-

Right Action- Abstention from killing living beings, stealing and misconduct in sensual desires.

Right Action own words-Don’t steal from others and don’t harm others

Example- No Violence

Right Livelihood-Means to avoid using weaponry and avoid using drugs

Right livelihood own words-Reject drugs, alcohol, and don’t use weapons

Right Effort-Prevent evil from happening and do good

Right Effort own words-Don’t kill or do any bad things and only try to embrace good

Example-

Right Mindfulness-Control your feelings and thoughts

Right Mindfulness own words-concentrating to control and conquer your emotions and thoughts.

Example-

Right concentration-it means to practice proper meditation.
