Unlock Your True Potential in Business and Life

DESCRIPTION

Your potential is practically unlimited; The only real limits are self-imposed. Whether you believe you can or you can’t you are right. Don’t settle for comfort, where you’ll be able to easily achieve without much effort. Commit to yourself that you will no longer settle for anything short of your incredible potential The only thing holding you back from an average or slightly above average life is the quality of the standards you hold for yourself. Raise your standards, raise the quality of your life. Most people set wimpy goals that ignore their true potential; Wimpy goals don’t drive action. Your goals MUST take into consideration your incredible potential and make you feel uncomfortable. Assume that others will think you’re crazy (that’s a good sign your goal isn’t too wimpy) Your goals must be highly specific and include when you’d like to accomplish the goal (time) and specifically what you intend to achieve. Develop absolute certainty - Confidence is a belief that something is possible Absolute certainty is a belief that something is inevitable If you increasingly approach your goals and desires with absolute certainty the likelihood of achieving your (inevitable) outcome compounds dramatically. Life is way too short and you are too talented to settle for anything but your fullest potential. Now is the time to raise your personal standards and uncap your full potential. You have the resources and resourcefulness to achieve anything you desire. Everything you need is within you NOW. Here’s a simple formula called the "Ultimate Success Formula" by Tony Robbins I’ve used my entire adult life to help me stay on track and maximize my potential. (1) Know your outcome. (2) Know your reasons why (3) Take massive action (4) Notice your results (working or not), and (5) Change your approach until you get what you want. All personal and professional success requires sustained action. All personal and professional success requires you to break the norm, stop doing what everyone else is doing, and set a standard far higher than average. All personal and professional success starts with knowing what you want, the reasons why you want it, taking massive action, and an undying willingness to change your approach (Pivot) to get exactly what you want.

Potential

• Your potential is practically unlimited; The only real limits are self-imposed

• Many people before you with less resources and ability have achieved exactly what you want right now (wealth, happiness, freedom, power, sex).

• This is not a lecture; it’s your fucking life; Now is the time to unlock your untapped potential

• The more you visualize exactly what it is that you want (with no limits) the more confident you will believe in yourself and that what you want is indeed achievable

Realize Your Untapped PotentialRoger Bannister and the 4-minute mile

Prior to Roger nobody had run a 4 minute mile. People (other than Roger) didn’t believe it was possible. Within two years after Roger ran a 4 minute mile 37 people did it.

Examples of Realized Potential

• NBA legend Michael Jordan spent his off seasons taking hundreds of jump shots a day

• Oprah Winfrey was abused as child, born to unwed parents, and moved in with her Grandma at age six to later become media mogul and billionaire

• Andre Agassi’s father taped a tennis racket to his hand as a baby to train him to become tennis great.

• Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz continues to work from home even after putting in 13 hour days

• Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban didn't take a vacation for seven years while starting his first business

Examples of Realized Potential- continued -

• Apple CEO Tim Cook routinely begins emailing employees at 4:30 in the morning

• Nissan and Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn flies more than 150,000 miles a year

• Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer routinely pulled all nighters and 130 hour work weeks while at Google

• Pepsi CEO Indra Nooyi worked the graveyard shift as a receptionist while putting herself through Yale.

What is limiting you from unlocking your full potential?

Raise Your Standards

• Whether you believe you can or you can’t you are right.

• Don’t settle for comfort, where you’ll be able to easily achieve without much effort.

• Commit to yourself that you will no longer settle for anything short of your incredible potential

• The only thing holding you back from an average or slightly above average life is the quality of the standards you hold for yourself.

• Raise your standards, raise the quality of your life.

Set Uncomfortable Goals

• Most people set wimpy goals that ignore their true potential; Wimpy goals don’t drive action.

• Your goals MUST take into consideration your incredible potential and make you feel uncomfortable.

• Assume that others will think you’re crazy (that’s a good sign your goal isn’t too wimpy)

• Your goals must be highly specific and include when you’d like to accomplish the goal (time) and specifically what you intend to achieve.

Develop Absolute Certainty

• Confidence is a belief that something is possible

• Absolute certainty is a belief that something is inevitable

• If you increasingly approach your goals and desires with absolute certainty the likelihood of achieving your (inevitable) outcome compounds dramatically.

Now what Kris?

• IMO Life is way too short and you are too talented to settle for anything but your fullest potential

• Now is the time to raise your personal standards and uncap your full potential. Are you willing to play along with me? #brotherhood #sisterhood

• You have the resources and resourcefulness to achieve anything you desire. Everything you need is within you NOW.

• Here’s a simple formula I’ve used my entire adult life to help me stay on track and maximize my potential.

The Ultimate Success Formula by Tony Robbins

1. Know your outcome2. Know your reasons why3. Take massive action4. Notice your results (working or not), and5. Change your approach until you get what you

want

Know Your Outcome

• Be specific – wanting to build “a successful SEO agency isn’t enough.” Get clear on what you want.

• For instance, let’s say your desired outcome is to sell your business for at least $20 million by December 2015.

• Once you get clear on your desired outcome break it down into milestones.

• What are some possible milestones for this outcome?

Know Your Reasons Why

• Why is it an “absolute must” for you to achieve your outcome? Why comes first, how comes second

• There’s a huge difference between “I should” do something and “I must” do something. You need to immediately stop “shoulding” all over yourself.

• Attach deep emotional and personal reasons why getting what you want is an absolute must.

• Example – Getting in shape. You MUST change because you don’t want to fucking die and because you want to watch your kids get married.

Take Massive Action

• Develop absolute certainty around your outcome and take massive action.

• To think confidently, act confidently.• Define the specific steps you need to take in

order to get what you want and take action.• Action needs to be consistent; quitting isn’t an

option until you’ve exhausted all reasonable options.

Notice Your Results

• Are your current actions getting you closer or further away from the outcome you want to achieve?

• If you’re running East looking for a sunset, it doesn’t matter how committed you are. You won’t get there.

• You have to avoid tunnel vision and make sure that what you’re doing is leading you where you really want to go.

Change Your Approach

• If you’re taking action and it isn’t getting you where you want to be, the last step is to change your approach accordingly.

• If something is broken fix it.• QUESTION: How many times do you keep

changing your approach?• ANSWER: As many times as you have to until it

works.

One last thing

• All personal and professional success requires sustained action

• All personal and professional success requires you to break the norm, stop doing what everyone else is doing, and set a standard far higher than average

• All personal and professional success starts with knowing what you want, the reasons why you want it, taking massive action, and an undying willingness to change your approach (Pivot) to get exactly what you want.

Questions?

• Thank you. God bless.
