• When selling see whether Buy it now or Auction most successful• Use search to obtain best price when buying• Search by category and filters• Use Save Search to receive emails• Use operators – eg (purse, handbag)• Red prices are items that didn’t sell• Green prices are items that sold• Can’t find item? Search for Title and Description

• Enter EAN – books, CDs, electronics or name of item• Click Start selling• Enter title – Use CAPS, be descriptive and

include lots of keywords • Select category• Add at least one photo – add then browse to

your hard drive (cont.)

Advanced tips for sellers

• Smartphone or iPad camera is fine• Take up to four photos using different angles• Include a close up shot• Use clean non-reflective surface • Surface and background should be opposite

• Read description carefully• Check feedback – beware of buying from

people with less than 98% rating. Look at number of ratings as well as feedback score

• Look for items with few watchers/buyers• ‘Buy it now’ (if offered) or Bid• Pay immediately – via Pay Now button in

listing or email notification
