Introduction

• VNC based architecture for accessing the desktops of remote computers from a cellular phone

• Assumption:– remote computer system is running a VNC server

and that it is attached to a network.– The cellular user can see and manipulate the

desktop on the cellular phone.

Objectives

• General– To control the remote computer using mobile phone

• Specific– To start and stop applications – To boot a remote server– To access files– To control mouse– To control keyboard – To control other devices of remote computer using

mobile.

Limitations

• Getting connection to desktop remotely through firewall

• Bandwidth Limitations upto 30kbps GPRS connection
