Very quick to compete!

The traditional market

If the market won’t change, how is the UK to compete?

• “Every shop’s a patisserie”– Most ISP’s resell BT Wholesale offerings– Marginal investment– Little scope for technical innovation

• Those that do invest, do so in the same places

– Typically along with cable & WiMAX operators

– Expectations of market share must be small

• Most differentiate on price alone– Ever eroding margins– Ever shrinking funds to invest in the future
