Why did they choose different regions to live in?•Climate, land, and proximity to the water really affected the way the different regions lived.

•Climate - the warmer climate of the south made it easier to grow a lot of crops

•Land - the rich soil and endless amount of land made it easier to grow crops in the south

•Proximity to Water - Colonies with seaports and waterways tended to be involved in industries that allowed them to take advantage of the water
