About MeMy name is Laurie Thompson. I am 20 years old and grew up in Hartford, SD. I attended West Central High School until I graduated in 2009. My family consists of my two parents, my older brother, Ian, and older sister Melissa. I am a transfer student from Black Hills State, where I attended school for my first year of college. I am majoring in Elementary Education in hopes of becoming a kindergarten teacher someday.

Hobbies

In my free time, I like to hang out with my friends and family and have a good time. I like being outside and watching football. I like to travel anywhere and everywhere.

GoalsMy ultimate goal is to graduate from USD and become a kindergarten teacher. I would like to live in the midwest and teach in a small town.

In 10 years…In ten years from now I hope to have a successful job at a small, Midwest school teaching kindergarten. In ten years I will be thirty and I hope I am married and have started a family. I hope to have a couple kids and to still be very active.

Favorite Memory

My favorite memory is when me and my friend, Brittany spontaneously booked a trip to Florida one day when we were bored. We flew to Panama City Beach, Florida in March of 2010. We were there for a week and mostly hung out on the beach and did lots of shopping. The funnest part of the trip was keeping the whole thing a secret from our families who had no idea.

Traveling

One of my favorite things to do is travel. I love going new places and learning new things. I have traveled all over the country and saw many things. One of my favorite places I have been was San Antonio, TX. I love the atmosphere there and it is must different the SD. I someday hope to travel the world and visit other countries like Australia, Africa, and Europe. Although expensive, traveling is my favorite thing to do.
