City Mapper Available for Android, iOS

City Mapper is an app that I feel is similar to something I will be creating. With a focus on

just London, and getting from A to B, this app has features I will be incorporating into my own work. With a colour format that is constant throughout this is something I will

also be looking at when making my own app.

National Rail Enquiries – Available for Android, iOSFor frequent train travellers across the UK, this app is good for, up-to-date rail information. National Rail Enquiries lets you track specific trains, find out about possible disruptions to your journey (via push notifications), and re-plan your journey on the go. This app even covers ticket prices at a glance for the budget-minded traveller, although ticket purchasing is made via third-party websites. This is something I will consider also when creating my app.

London Transport Live – Available for Android

Similar to Citymapper, London Transport Live is an app that does pretty much what its title suggests – it allows you to get live arrival information for the different modes of London transport, including buses, Tube, Overground, DLR and ferries. There’s also a paid-for version of this app, which is available for £1.49.This is something my app will have, although this will be tricky to do as it would need a lot of work to make sure it constantly works

Uber

Although this app doesn’t have anything to do with mine as it’s a taxi app, I like it’s user involvement, constantly keeping the user involved. I also like it’s colour schemes and simplistic layouts.

Hailo – Available for Android, iOSHailo Is similar to Uber. It’s basically an app which allows it’s users to order cabs straight from there phone. Although my app doesn’t have any thing to do with taxis I like it’s constant live feed, much like ubers.
