DISTRIBUTION

Time Inc is my publishing company

The publisher should want to add my magazine because I will offer exceptional stories as well as provide an organized and appealing layout. The magazine will specifically be about sports cars, and higher end cars. In some cases, it may consist of average cars, but never low end automobiles.

What makes your magazine, different and stand-out. Why does the market need your magazine. The market needs my magazine because I will offer exceptional stories as well as provide an organized and appealing layout. The magazine will specifically be about sports cars, and higher end cars. In some cases, it may consist of average cars, but never low end automobiles.

Monthly magazines generally work 3 months in advance so I need to plan ahead when producing a magazine for print.

HOW DID YOUR PRODUCTION SKILLS DEVELOP THROUGHOUT THIS PROJECT?

My production skills developed throughout this project. I was able to utilize all the elements of Photoshop to create a realistic cover.

A key moment to my magazine was coming up with the name “SuperCharged” as my title. I feel that it made the image of the brand more masculine and shaped how I designed the cover and TOC.

At the beginning of the year, I had some experience with Photoshop, but none with InDesign. I was very comfortable using Photoshop to create my covers and such, but when it came to InDesign I was hesitant.

My skills developed by using new fonts and unfamiliar ways that make the font appear different than before. This made my coverlines in my final draft appear different than the rough drafts.

HOW DID YOU INTEGRATE TECHNOLOGIES – SOFTWARE, HARDWARE AND ONLINE – IN THIS PROJECT? I used Photoshop and InDesign in this project. I used them to create my Cover, TOC, and Two-Page Spread.

I used a Dell Desktop Computer

I used the text box tool, free transform tool, and the shape tool most often in Photoshop

In InDesign I used the text box and shape tool most often

For my blog, I used edublogs.edu and for embedding my PowerPoint I used Slide Share
