Keep Your Tires In Line!Do you ever find that you’re driving in the right
direction, but your steering wheel isn’t centered? It’s possible your alignment is off.
Other obvious signs of improper alignment:
- vibrating steering wheel- uneven tire wear - drifting to one side
What Causes Poor Alignment?
Alignment is measured so precisely that even the smallest mishap can throw it off, causing
your tires to point in the wrong direction. Look out for:•Potholes
•Bumps, including curbs•Correct tire pressure
Effects of Poor Alignment
Tire Wear – improperly aligned tires wear down unevenly and much faster. They then lose air pressure and sometimes even blowout.
Suspension Damage – although not as visible as tire wear, suspension damage is just as, if not more harmful.
To Be Safe…You should have your car realigned every time you bring it
to an auto body shop. Some shops will include the alignment service if you are already having work done, but
even if you do have to pay for the alignment it is far worth it compared to suspension and tire costs.
Proper Alignment:• Allows for a safer, more enjoyable driving
experience• Tires wear down less• When tires do wear, they do so evenly• Car drives straighter• Better gas mileage• Extended tire life
Make sure you aren’t spending too much to keep your car in line.
