Overview - General

• 对于在校学生来讲，常住地即学校所在地

各领馆辖区

Where to Apply

• 小于120天，大于90天

• 项目开始时间以I‐20 上为准

• 不能早于开学时间一个月进入美国

When to Apply

• 预约签证面谈时间

• 支付签证申请费及 SEVIS 费

• 准备一张符合要求的照片

• 在线填写 DS‐160 签证申请表

• 准备签证申请所需材料

• 来使馆进行签证面谈

• 通过中国邮政办理签证/护照返还手续

Application Process

预约签证面谈时间

• 中信银行购买预先付费的加密电话卡

• 登陆签证信息服务中心网站购买通话密码

• 致电前需准备好以下信息：申请人全名、护照号

码、身份证号码、联系方式、访美目的、在华常

住地以及以前是否被拒签过等等

• 签证信息话务中心的电话号码:

支付签证申请费

• 数额： 131美金

• 缴费地点：中信银行(注意缴费当天记得带

上护照，只收现金)

• 申请费收据


支付SEVIS费

• 什么是SEVIS费？

• 金额： 200美金（只能用美元支付）

• 缴付时间：最晚要在签证前３天提交

• 缴费流程：

获取 I‐901 表格

填写表格。须注意，F‐1 签证申请人必须填

写好学校代号，I‐20 上会注明

支付 200美金费用


填写 DS‐160 签证申请表• 选择递交申请的地点

• 此表格有一项是要求您用母语填写姓名，您可以使用汉字

填写您的名字。除此之外，所有内容必须用英文完整填写。

• 在填写表格时请不断将其储存入U盘，或者计算机。表格填

写完毕后，请将其存入U盘或者CD，以便携带。

• 如果您的名字由两个汉字组成，当您回答表格上的问题“您曾用过其它名字吗？（婚前、宗教、专业以及其它别名

等）”，请选择“是”。然后输入您的姓及名字，您名字的两

个字之间必须空格。

• 如果您以前去过美国，请在指定地方填写您以前的签证号

码（以前签证右下方，红色的8位数字）


签证当天注意事项

• 提前到

• 到规定的窗口递交材料：必须交的材料是护照、

贴上签证收据的DS表确认页、SEVIES费用收

据和I-20表

• 如果签证得到批准，你会拿到黄色的小条，然

后到签证服务大厅办理邮寄手续，五个工作日

内邮寄到。或者，也可以选择在面谈之日后的

2-3个工作日到朝阳区政府下属的签证服务大

厅(紧邻使馆签证处入口)内开设的中国邮局自

取签证

• 领到签证之后，I-20也会归还


• 有效护照：有效期超过6个月，至少有一页正反面都空白

• 含有以前赴美签证的护照，包括已失效的护照

• DS-160表格确认页

• 一张照片

• 签证申请费收据原件：需粘贴在DS-160确认页的下半页上

• I-20表格：须由学校指定官员（DSO）和申请人本人签字

• SEVIS费收据

• TOEFL、GRE或GMAT等成绩单

• 国内学历、学位证书，在读学生可提供学校开具的在读证

明，成绩单原件

• 美国学校录取信、奖学金证明信

• 在中国有牢固约束力的证明

• 资金证明

• 研究/学习计划，个人简历

Application Checklist

用于证明牢固约束力和资金证明的材料准备

• 银行存款证明、存单或存折原件，需涵盖第一年

所需所有学费和生活费

• 父母有固定单位的需提供父母工资证明（中英文）

• 个人所得税税单

• 股票，房产证、车辆登记证等固定资产证明

• 如经营公司者或持有公司股份者，可携带公司营

业执照副本原件，公司成立时的验资报告，公司

前一年的审计报告，半年的税单原件等

• 如果申请人的户口与父母的不在一起，则办亲属

关系公证或者出生证明公证（中英文）；如果户

口是在一起的话，直接用户口本即可

体检

• 体检是为入学用的，签证是不需要体检证

明的。建议在签证后体检

• 体检受理地址:北京市东城区和平里北街

20号（和平里医院西侧），即北京卫生防

疫站

注射疫苗

• 体检和注射疫苗是两个独立的项目

• 根据学校寄来的体检表上的要求接种疫苗

• Smile and be friendly

• Show confidence when talking

• Speak loudly

• Look towards the interviewer’s eyes

• If question unclear, ask again

• Answer the question asked by the

interviewer; avoid providing additional

and/or unrelated information

• Do you intend to work in the U.S. in the future?

• Give me 3 reasons why you will come back to China?

Financial

• Do you have any scholarships?

• Who will pay for your education in the US?

• What are your parents’ jobs? What is their income?

• I-20 Change: : If you get

I-20 and visa from one

school, but later decided

to attend another school,

will this cause problem?

ANSWER: No Problem.

You can return the old

I-20 to the issue

school, and apply I-20

from the new school

you decide to attend.

FAQs – I-20

• Salary Discrepancy: If you have large amount of deposit

but your salary is relatively small (typical for government

officials), would that be an issue for the visa officers? Visa

officials understand – take into consideration the whole

application. – ANSWER: Bank account tends to be

most important consideration

• Salary Issue: Is there any official format for the income

certificate? Should it be translated into English? because

most company only can provide Chinese version.

Chinese is OK. Embassy has people who can review

the Chinese. However, English is preferred if possible.

Should have stamp, company stationary, address,

and contact information.

FAQs – Income

• Interview: Which documents should I bring to the visa

interview? Should all of this document original or copy is

ok? Is birth notarization required or just suggested? Try to

bring original whenever possible. Birth notarization

suggested as part of the whole application.

• Interview: Which documents should I request from my

current school to support my visa application?

Transcripts and proof of diploma if appropriate

• Interview: Is a resume required when go to the visa

interview? Is a study plan required. IF so, what format?

What about advisor biography? Resume not required,

but can be brought to show. Study plan not

necessary, but showed be able to express what they

will study in US. Advisor biography not needed.
