Indeed, the winegrowing sector is

the largest employer in the

district.

The municipal district of La Seca, located in the heart of

Rueda, has a longstanding tradition in winegrowing and in the

production of quality wines.

Almost all its inhabitants work in the winegrowing sector,

either in vineyards or in the production of wine, as well as in

indirect employment such as transport and advisory services.

• The planted area of our vineyards is approximately 20 hectares,

complemented with old vineyards under the technical care and

control of Tera y Castro.

• The stony landscape naturally insulates and protects the roots of

the vine and is the ideal habitat for the best selected varieties of

the indigenous Verdejo grape, present in the area since the year

1000.

• Both the slightly undulated topography of the terrain

and the continental climate, with its varied

temperatures, help vine growing in order to obtain

balanced wines with ideal levels of sugar and acidity.

• The land is ideal for the Verdejo and other white grape

varieties.

Denomination of Origin Rueda

• The first Denomination of Origin to be

approved in the Region of Castilla y

León, D.O. Rueda was created for the

acknowledgement and protection of its

autochthonous variety, the Verdejo

grape.

• Sauvignon Blanc, Viura, and Palomino

Fino are other varieties of grape grown

in this appellation, while Verdejo is the

dominant variety.

• D.O. Rueda is recognized internationally

for its renowned white wines.

and is the reigning varietal of the Rueda

Production

• Grapes are harvested manually and then

carried carefully to the winery, where a

selection of the finest grapes takes place.

• After 3 hours of cold maceration, the fruit

is gently crushed in order to obtain the

best free-run juice.

• Our crianza (aged) wines • Fermented in French oak barrels,

during which time frequent

battonage operations are carried out.

• Bottled with the utmost care,

decanted by gravity in order to avoid

abrupt filtration.

• Aged in the bottle for at least four

months, allowing the flavors of the

fruit and the barrel to integrate fully.

the temperatures are coolest.

settling process is complete, the must

undergoes the cold stabilizing process for

22 days.

battonage allows it to achieve its characteristic

creaminess

• This Alsatian grape variety has adapted well to the stony

soil of the Rueda vineyards.

• After 14 days in stainless steel tanks, Pentio Roble is

stored for 5 months in American oak barrels and for 3

months in-bottle

• Intense deep red color with violet shades

spice, and a vanilla touch

• Smooth and fruity palate with a soft and long finish

Pentio Crianza (D.O. Toro) 100% Tinta de Toro

• Fermented for 14 days at 27°C in stainless steel tanks

and kept in American oak barrels for 10 months, then

aged in the bottle for a minimum of 4 months

• Intense deep, ruby color

• Engages the palate with powerful tannins and a pleasant

after-taste

• Perfect blend of compote fruit, vanilla, coconut,
