ElevateHer Committee Mission
• WCF formed an internal Women’s Leadership Committee
Our mission is to help and prepare future leaders at WCF by promoting diversity and equal opportunity
for advancement.
ElevateHer Challenge Goals
•WCF Focused on these goals:
• Increase the percentage of women in senior leadership• We need to have a pipeline of qualified candidates for all levels of
leadership and eliminate the barriers for women
• Increase the retention rate of women at all levels of your organization
• Create innovative ways to elevate the stature of women’s leadership in your organization
ElevateHer Challenge Goals
• WCF was already offering the following:
• A mentoring program for future leaders – Our HR department put this program together several years ago and we’ve been through a few cycles
• Monitoring pay by gender and close identified gaps – Our HR department is continually monitoring this item.
ElevateHer Committee Goals• Identify career advancement barriers and promote solutions to
overcome them.
• Investigate/offer flexible work schedules
• Investigate/offer working from home options
• Investigating the option of offering an onsite daycare• Conducted an employee survey to measure interest in daycare• Met with Bright Horizons – a company that runs corporate daycares and
is consider the best in the industry.• Visited four of their corporate daycare facilities
ElevateHer Committee Goals• Promote educational progression through all levels of the
organization.
• Education – Started hosting UVU classes here at WCF to facilitate employees continuing their education and encourage them to finish/pursue their degree.
• Training – Held educational series• Receiving Feedback Graciously• Addressing Unconscious bias• Assertive Communications• Practicing Personal Accountability• Dealing with Difficult People• … more to come this fall
• Committee website for sharing information, articles, etc.
ElevateHer Committee Goals
• Increase the number of women prepared for upcoming leadership openings at all managements levels.
• WCF offers a mentor program
• WCF is focusing attention on having diversity in all areas
• “Hidden Gem” lunches with executive members
ElevateHer Committee Goals
• Establish a panels of experienced women leaders to guide and advise future women leaders at WCF.
• WCF has hosted two women’s leadership panels and another one scheduled this fall.
• Invitation for aspiring future women leaders to have a one-on-one meeting with a current member of our leadership team to gain personal insight and guidance.
ElevateHer Committee Future Goals
• Continue educational series with focus on:• Culture of inclusion and reducing unconscious biases
• Personal branding
• Continue executive lunches with “Hidden Gems”
• Investigate “Best workplaces for Women” and “Working Mother Best Company” and model what they are doing
