channels along with ECG in the rat – simultaneously!

1) systemic blood pressure and pulmonary artery pressure

- for differential effects on both arterial beds

- to study PAH (pulmonary arterial hypertension)

2) systemic blood pressure and left ventricular pressure

- test article effects on cardiac function and systemic BP

Pharmacological validation

- isoproterenol (β-adrenergic agonist)

- hydralazine (direct vasodilator)
