What are the key questions that we must answer in order to build

something that is useful to this community?

• Studies have also shown that often it is the least popular tags that are the most useful

• What position should we take?– Link without restriction?– Upload items with a copyright statement?– “Report abuse” mechanisms?– Assume Creative Commons?

• When does a collection become a Learning Object?

an application’s look-and-feel and shows potential functionality

• We are currently working on a first version of PuffinShare– The discussion today will directly inform this!– Hope to have a public beta by the Summer

• We are building a simple version first– Will add functionality in response to user interest– Probably Tags and Collections first

• We will offer to visit interested (potential) users – Help identify (and upload) digital resources – Gather feedback on PuffinShare
