Background: During an overseas tour. Mr Jawed Habib observed an interesting hair salon business model, he saw few hairstylist at an busy international airport providing dry designer haircut in quick 15 minutes for 2 USD. Taking a cue from this. He invited Mr Zafar Khan then JH HairXpreso Managing Partner to formulate and test the business formula. The first JH HairXpreso was launched in year 2009. It was pleasantly surprising to see young females que up for their turn.

HairXpreso Business Equation: Provide a makeover dry haircut in 15 minutes for as low as Rs 149/- Only in a good environment and at points of consumer convenience such as Airport, Metros, Malls, High Street, Shop-in-shop etc.. Add no other service to achieve economies of scale in volume production. HairXpreso deliberately and by design is kept as a one trick pony. A man can find a decent haircut at Rs 100/- but a female wont, she is the key target customer of JH HairXpreso. (Salon is unisex).

Outcome: A very simple business model, low on capital investment and operating expenditure met with stupendous business success. Today JH HairXpreso has spread to 20 States and 100 Cities as well extended its reach to foreign shores.

Our requirementYou should be in a position to make a capital investment of Rs. 15 Lac and be willing to operate own Jawed Habib salon on a hands-on day to day basis/ Have a female family member willing to be present on the premises during working hours to ensure smooth business operations. (We can support you to acquire 50% as Bank Loan if you may so require).

You will need to own lease 150 to 300 square feet of prime retail space in a well to do area to build a Jawed Habib Salon from provided interior plan.

You will need to find women’s and men’s lodge within short distance of your Jawed Habib HairXpreso Salon.

You will need to visit Mumbai once to coordinate with our various departments upon signing of the franchise agreement and to understand how to build, operate and report your business

How much is the total investment required to build a Jawed Habib Hair and Beauty Salon?

Answer:

We charge only Rs. 5 Lac rest of the investment differs from area to area and size of salon being built. You will need to find out lease rental deposit in your area, once we come to know the space acquired we can give a suggestive interior fabrication budget that you are likely to incur at your end.

Do you help with staffing?

Answer:

Yes we do. We are responsible to attract resumes, screen them, conduct interviews on your behalf, select staff based on our standard job matrix selection criteria, train and groom, deploy them to your salon. Franchisees are responsible to retain recruited staff.

How much could be the monthly salon operating expenditure?

Answer: An JH HairXpreso Salon is most economical to operate. All said and done an HairXpreso can be operated for as little as Rs 2 Lacs per month. This would include:

The franchise contract period is for 3 years. You can renew the contract by paying franchise renewal fees, which is discounted by 50%.
