Keys to Installation SuccessA thorough Network Assessment should be conducted prior to scheduling phone installation to knock out any service obstacles.

1. Calculate internet bandwidth and run a speed test

2. Run the ANPI LAN Assessment Utility

3. Check the router list: https://www.anpi.com/hosted-uc-routers/

4. Mapping the local area network (LAN)

5. Reviewing LAN router config

6. Review LAN firewall

Keys to Installation Success

Activate and test all the phones 24 – 48 hours before scheduled installation date to minimize disruptions.

1. Connect phones to at your office testing table

2. Complete activation for every phone (label phones per user)

3. Test inbound dialing from an off-net phone

4. Test outbound dialing to an off-net phone

5. Test local / long distance dialing

6. Test outbound dialing to an international number (if applicable)

7. Test call transfer, 3 way calling and conference calling

Connecting the Phones

1. Plug the included Ethernet cable into your network’s Local Area Network (LAN) port.

2. Locate the LAN port on the back of the phone and plug in the other end of the Ethernet cable.

3. If your network is NOT PoE-enabled, then you will need a power supply:

4. Plug the included power supply cord into the included power brick.

5. Plug the power cord into your power outlet.

6. Connect your PC into the PC port.

Activating the Phones

1. Pick up the hand set or select the speaker button. The voice prompt will ask for the Activation Code.

• The Activation Code for each user is located in the customer’s shipping confirmation email. (Codes will also appear in the Customer Administration Portal.)

2. Input your Activation Code. If the Activation Code is accepted, the phone will automatically reboot two times and activate the extension.

On-site Testing

1. Connect phones at location and confirm registration

2. Install and test any VIPresence or nCommand clients

3. Test inbound/outbound dialing from an off-net phone (local and long distance)

4. Test outbound dialing to an international number (if applicable)

5. Test extension dialing within the PBX

6. Test call transfer, 3 way calling and conference calling

7. Test E911

Why Require Activation?

• Phones come in a secured state to protect against fraud

• Activation codes are not phone specific so like phones can be activated using any code. (verify phone type matches the seat plan)

• More flexible installation (you do not have to match the phone mac address to the seat build)
