Paid media is like fossil fuel (you fill up with attention that someone else has collected; at some point you have to refill it); owned media is like renewable energy (you get filled up with attention but the sun eventually sets); earned media is like kinetic energy (you generate energy as you hike). All three must be combined in the best way for your brand.”
