Problem Statement

● No easy access to the agri-information.● Young generation are migrating to overseas

for job.● Agriculture has good future prospects but

people are abandoning this occupation.● No commercialization of the agriculture.● Less entrepreneurship.

Our Idea

● A central database to serve as one-stop portal to all the people who are in agri-business and stakeholders in the agri-domain.○ Farmers.○ Young prospective farmers.○ INGOs, Government, NGOs.○ Buyers and Sellers.○ Businessman.○ Students and Colleges.○ And all the stakeholders who are directly or indirectly

linked to agriculture

Findings

● There is an urgent need for the central database.

● No easy way to access information.● The communication devices they use ranges

from simple mobile to smart phones and desktop to laptops.

● The skill sets and literacy varies from person to person.

Challenges Ahead

● Most of the traditional farmers do not have access to the smart phones or computer and are illiterate.So it will be a challenge for us to deliver the information to them.

● We have to design the system accordingly to incorporate different skillsets of the farmers as well as various mobile devices and computers they have access to.
