The highly prolific Landrace contributes to the Genepacker 90. Selected primarily for prolificacy the Landrace has excellent maternal characteristics. Several criteria, including a minimum of 12 teats, ensure that only animals capable of raising a large proportion of the litters born are selected into the herd. The Landrace option represents a lower emphasis on growth rate and a selection for fat that aims to stabilize rather than change, current levels.

About Pigs PIG FARMING: Pig has got highest conversion efficiency. They produce more live weight gain from a given weight of feed than any other class of meat producing animal.
