RMAI appoints Pradeep Kashyap as president

At the 4th AGM of Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) held in Delhi, Pradeep Kashyap, CEO, MART was elected President of the Association for the year 2009-10.

He takes over from R V Rajan, Chairman of Anugrah Madison Advertising, the founder President of the Association who held the office for 4 years from its inception.

The other office bearers elected at the AGM were: Raj Kumar Jha of Ogilvy Activation as Vice President, Sanjay Kaul of Impact Communication as Secretary and R Parthasarathy of Kripa Outdoor as Treasurer.

Following were elected to the Executive Committee of RMAI: R A Patankar of Sampark, Pradeep Lokhande of Rural Relations, Askari of Insight Communication, Sandip Bansal of Xpanse Asia, Sanjay Pragat of Vision Force, Atul Mandale of Maadhyam and Rajat Iyer of Saarthak

Speaking on the AGM, Kashyap said, ?Within a short period of 4 years, RMAI has established itself as a dynamic industry body recognized both nationally and internationally as an Association doing commendable work in generating and disseminating new knowledge on Rural Marketing for the benefit of rural marketers?.

He was confident that with a younger team in place, the Association will reach greater heights, especially in the context of the ever growing importance of rural markets in India
