FESTIVAL RENEWS SPONSORSHIP DEAL WITH FAWCETTS

Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival is delighted to be continuing its relationship with chartered accountants Fawcetts which is sponsoring a wider programme of cultural events than ever before in the 2013 Festival.

Fawcetts, based in Salisbury, is sponsoring the entire Family programme of events at this year’s Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival which runs from 24 May to 8 June.

Festival director Maria Bota said: “The Festival is delighted to be partnering with the team at Fawcetts who have this year chosen to provide major support to the Family Programme. The 2013 relationship builds on many years of working together. In recent years, Fawcetts’ sponsorship has secured a variety of events within the programme from the free opening night through to a Venetian Coronation evening in Salisbury Cathedral. The Festival’s Family Programme reaches thousands of people and this year’s events include street theatre, music, dance, puppetry, storytelling, workshops, film and a family picnic, offering lots of inspiration and entertainment and terrific profile for Fawcetts.”

Fawcetts partner Richard Allen said: “We value our involvement with this most prestigious International Arts Festival as much now as when we began our support six years ago. Fawcetts staff and clients live predominately in the Salisbury area and there is no doubt that their lives are greatly enriched by the Arts Festival. The Festival also provides a huge boost to the local economy. We continue therefore to be absolutely delighted to support this most deserving of organisations.

This year we have chosen the Family Programme because the long term future of the Arts depends on today’s youth and we hope that the Family Programme sparks a lifelong interest in the Arts for some of the City’s young people.”

The Family programme of events includes appearances by acclaimed children’s authors Jeremy Strong and Michael Morpurgo, a performance of Babe the Sheep Pig by festival favourites Ilyria Productions and The Wimpy Kid Show which brings the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books to life.
