Project Organization SSMP2 has two components:

◦ Public Facilities Component ◦ Private Market Component

5 year project: ◦ 3 years – Installation of hardware for both public

and private market ◦ 2 years – Maintenance and after sales services

Operation ActivitiesAll in all the implementation of SSMP 2 revolves around:

◦ Obligation to supply and install PV for public facilities ◦ Obligation to supply and install PV for the commercial

users

REA/USTADA MINI GRID REX was awarded Grant amounting to US$818,000 (Eight Hundred and Eighteen thousand United States Dollars) by the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).

The purpose of the grant is to partially fund the goods and services required for a feasibility study and installation of 2-5MW Hybrid Pilot Mini grid in the Lake Victoria Islands in cluster forms of 100-500kw
