Many companies in India – are good
in embracing new systems & Techniques
They spend money and time for implementation
Whereas the Sustenance status of the
same is mostly under Question mark.
Why so ?
Sharing of views
Why Indian companies are lacking ?
In my opinion, key reasons would be
i) adopting new system without understanding the real need
of the organization
ii) implementation without conviction
iii) no patience to wait for the system to get a maturity.

It is top level (including senior level) commitment is the Top most
reason
Implementation takes longer time, unless it is sustained the fall is
very fast and steep(hence improvement need to be continual)
Any change need to be institutionalized by each and every one in
the system

a) For anything involving human being, for it to be successful,
involvement is required.
b) For involvement to be there, people should have an
understanding of what is expected of them very cleraly and
what is the benefit to them & others (Ex: A QMS system with
less documentation means employee can follow without strain,
avoid overstaying, face auditor with confidence and with least
NCRs)
c) For understanding to be there what ever you want to implement it
should be simple.
In Axles India as MR, I made EMS enjoyable. If an aspect/impact
is Legal, people will be in a position to say to which Act & clause it
is related . Unless simplicity, understanding & involvement are
there, manufacturing of small precision parts like watch would not
be possible at all.
In brief, make the whole thing a fun. (In Japanese they say the
work should be like amateur sport - see how 45+ people play a
Sunday cricket with rubber ball ! ).

I re e er Dr. “PR’s apti e sayi g Cha ge is a i p o e e t a d f e ue t ha ge ill i g pe fe tio . Here this frequency of change
matters a lot. We Indians, especially Generation Y is interested in fast
track growth (SMS world), hence any new system adapted does not
stay long as it is supposed to be for a minimum period for its
sustenance.

4 Even organizations does not allow an individual to settle, instead
greedy of expecting deliverables from them (even a fresher) on day
one. When you say a system, it is A set of detailed ethods, procedures and routines created to carry out a specific activity,
perfor a duty, or sol e a pro le .
Very specifically, this has a time period, but we(the organizations) do
not have patients to sustain to see the results, instead we jump onto
something else.
For a system START - STANDARDIZE – IMPROVE – SHARE –
CAPITALIZE should be the sequence (which has a time period), in
which it stops in the middle somewhere all the time due to our
impatience.

’s 7 Habits of Highly effective people : A glimpse
• In life, we must take the initiative – Act or be acted upon.
• We don't have to react automatically to every stimulus. Instead we can learn to
control the gap between stimulus and response.
• Speak and think proactively – your language and thoughts powerfully influence
what you can do.
• Don't do negative self-talk.
• Enlarge your circle of influence -- don't just worry about things, but act on them
so you influence your environment and improve your life.
• Make and keep commitments, especially to yourself.
• This is the foundation of integrity and self-respect. Better to make and keep small
commitments than to over-reach and disappoint yourself.
