Static FBML Application no longer available to download as of 18th March 2011

Existing FBML pages continue to be supported for the time being – no date announced as yet

No mad rush, but start thinking about moving existing FBML pages to iFrames

Create new pages in iFrames New apps are still in development stage, adding

new features every day and ironing out bugs Different solutions for different situations

What Has Changed?

FBML: create code - copy and paste into FB…stayed within FB

iFrames: hosted outside of FB Create webpage in HTML Upload to host and publish on www Import into FB via their App

Downside: needs secure hosting with SSL Certificate, or pages will be blank for some visitors on FB

What’s New With iFrames

Create more of a web experience within facebook Designers can create web style pages without the limitations

of FBML Pure HTML code easier to create using external WYSIWYG

editors such as Kompozer or Dreamweaver, even for the novice

Can import existing websites SEO, Google Analytics Video can be imported straight out of YouTube with no

additional code Autoresponder Opt-In Boxes can be added with plain HTML

code New “Like” button….integrated into page and opens status

update box as you “like” the page, inviting visitors to share the Page on FB
