Slab Sawing

Slab sawing is the most identified diamond cutting method. Slab sawing features a diamond blade that is mounted on a walk behind machine requiring one operator. It is generally used to cut horizontal surfaces such as floors, bridge decks, expansion joints, and pavement.

Slab sawing can be performed with a gas or electric/exhaust-free unit. Generally cuts can be made up to 24" deep. However, we do offer specialized cuts of up to 40" deep.

Slab sawing is an efficient means of cutting any aggregate. It is quick and precise, allowing other contracting work to be performed virtually uninterrupted.

Wall Sawing

Wall sawing employs a diamond blade on a track-mounted system that can be used for vertical and horizontal cuts. This set-up can also be used on steep inclined surfaces where a slab saw cannot be used safely. Wall sawing is typically specified to cut precise openings for doorways, ventilation units, and windows. Specialized applications such as finishing roughed-in walls can also be performed.

Wall sawing can be performed up to 30" deep indoors or outside. Cutting can also be performed from both sides of the wall, giving a total depth of up to 60". The wall sawing unit is highly portable and easily set-up for our trained operators. The applications for this type of sawing are endless.

Chain / Hand Sawing

Chain and hand sawing is commonly employed when general wall sawing can't be performed. Hand held units are equipped with diamond blades and chains. Hand sawing provides portable, quick cutting with minimal over-cuts.

Typical Applications Include:

Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC openings. Ventilation and air conditioning openings. Small, tightly accessed areas where cutting is needed.

Core Drilling

Core drilling is performed when precise, circular diameter cuts are needed. Holes up to 72" in diameter can be drilled to virtually any depth. Core drilling is used for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC installations. Line drilling is an effective method for removing almost any thickness of concrete where other methods cannot be applied. Core holes are drilled in a series of overlapping holes, allowing for one large segment to be removed.

Curb Sawing

Curb sawing is performed with equipment originally designed by CCB Equipment Co., LLC. The equipment is operated from the street side of the curb, allowing the curb to be cut without excavation. Mitre cuts can be performed which allows for ramps to be placed with proper drainage. This equipment is also used on highway projects to make the first of the four parapet cuts.

Wire Sawing

Wire sawing originated in the stone quarries of Europe as a fast, safe, and cost effective alternative to conventional demolition methods. Wire sawing is a flexible sawing technique that can be used to cut large, expansive areas. The wire sawing system uses a series of guide pulleys to draw a continuous loop of diamond-studded wire through a cut. The system can be configured to fit into confined spaces and is ideally designed for cutting large concrete and steel structures".

These services can be performed efficiently and effectively with minimal traffic disruption.

Grinding

Diamond grinding is typically used to level uneven pavement and to roughen surfaces for skid resistance. A specialized blade with diamonds mounted on the side is used to grind the surface.

Typical Applications Include:

Restoring smoothness to faulted or curled concrete highways. Improve skid resistance. Level doorway entrances. Smooth driveway approaches.
