Justine Lee was touched by the life of needy children during a humanitarian trip to rural China three years ago, at the young age of 16 years old, was inspired to start a social entrepreneurial business that provides shoes for needy children.

Unrestrained by their financial limitations, Justine attempted to raise money. The money raised allowed them to travel to Malaysia in search of footwear suppliers. Despite continuous rejections, he and his friends persevered, and finally found a supplier to support their cause.

In 2010, Soule Apparels was awarded the Singapore International Foundation Young Social Entrepreneurs’ Award. Justine then started the “Soule-dier Movement”, which changes consumers into life-changers and customers into volunteers. The aim was achieved when he brought his customers to an orphanage in Malaysia to organise a football tournament for the kids.

As President of the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Student Entrepreneurship Club, Justine continues to inspire other youths to make a difference to the society by mentoring his peers in initiating their own social entrepreneurship projects.

Justine Lee Fu De is awarded the Stars of SHINE 2011 Award.

In September 2010, the first batch of 309 pairs of school shoes were distributed to the needy children in China within a month.

The experience showed Justine that he, as a youth, had the power to make a difference in the lives of others, and fired him up to do more.

Soule is out on the Straits Times due to the success of selling over 200 pairs of flip-flops in less than a month.

The cause provided 309 pairs of shoes for the needy in China after 3 grueling years.

It also influenced many young students to do the same thing as him; to help make a difference in the society.
