SupaPleat II

SupaPleat II high surface area pleated depth cartridges have been developed to suit industrial processes where high levels of efficiency are required, whilst maintaining extremely low pressure losses. In-house developments have optimised the filter media to give higher levels of porosity, and state of the art manufacturing technologies give excellent build quality.

Four media options are offered as standard, the PP, GP, XP and MP. The PP features the specific CRY Cryptosporidium removal grade designed for Food and Beverage applications. All feature 100% polypropylene cage, core and end cap assembly.

Thermal welding processes seal all components, eliminating adhesives and extractables, and optimising cartridge integrity.

SupaPore FPWSupaPore FPW microfiltration cartridges can be used for most beverage applications including clarification, stabilisation and bio burden reduction.

They also serve as the ideal membrane protection filter for final sterilising systems. The advanced Borosilicate Glass Microfibre media has been selected due to its enhanced depth characteristics and exceptionally low pressure losses.

This is combined with a downstream polypropylene media to support and strengthen the system. This highly efficient media combination is stable even in the most severe CIP (Clean InPlace) systems. The optimised pleated depth media offers high flow rates, excellent dirt holding capacity and superior retention levels.

Manufactured using polypropylene for the hardware, the SupaPore FPWconstruction utilises a thermal welding technique to seal all the components therefore eliminating adhesives and extractables and optimising cartridge integrity. Its high filtration efficiency and dirt capacity makes it an excellent choice for use in almost all beverage processes.

SupaPore VPWIn beverage manufacturing it is important that products are microbiologically stabilised prior to packaging to prolong shelf life. This needs to be achieved without affecting the nature of the product and in a cost effective manner.

Therefore minimising the cost of stabilisation whilst maintaining beverage quality remains a constant driver. In response to this industry need, Amazon has developed two industry specific PES membrane filters optimised for beverage applications.

They provide excellent flow rates and superior throughputs, without affecting taste, aroma or colour. All materials of construction meet both European and US food contact requirements.

SupaPore VPW filters contain an advanced single layer membrane that offers the highest flow rates. SupaPore VPWS filters utilise an advanced asymmetric PES membrane providing superior throughputs in more challenging application. They are ideal for processes where long on-stream life is vital.

Both cartridges can be in-situ steam sterilised and offer excellent chemical resistance enabling the cartridges to be repeatedly cleaned for a longer service life.
