A not entirely serious record of the Tele-Products 25th Anniversary celebration open day
Citation preview
Tele-Products25th Anniversary Open Day
October 2013
We opened our premises to suppliers, partners, customers & friends for the
afternoon
The following is an unedited photographic record of some of the
events…
Names haven’t been changed to protect the innocent!
We ran a number of competitions including one to identify the baby
photos of some Tele-Products staff…
Anode Electronics, one of our key suppliers, brought along examples of
some of their capabilities
The Buildabot 3d Printer from York3dprinters.com
Seggy Segaran, Tele-Products founder and our Technical Director, describes the Buildabot to Norman Whyte from the Eco Business Centre
Seggy demonstrating one of our test fixtures to Neil Turnbull of PAT Training
Services and Charley Downey
The Construction Challenge:Build the tallest structure capable of
holding a tennis ball for 5 mins using only newspaper and sellotape
Charley “helping” the PAT Training Services team
The Construction Challenge Winner
Karen Swallow, our Warehouse Manager, presents the prize to Ed Hunn from Evercode, leader of the winning team whose structure was 2.4m high! Not sure Ed can contain his excitement…
Seggy enthrals the audience with a potted history of Tele-Products…
…And then tries to sell copies of his business book!
We presented a cheque to the Prince’s Trust – a great organisation who we are
proud to support
Ed Reid, from The Alternative Board, talked about the elements of a
great business
He was so animated that his hand became a blur!
Charles Storr, from City of York Council, talked about the importance of manufacturing SMEs to York’s economy
(and wasn’t worried by the overhead water balloons)
The highlight of the catering was a very special cake – baked and
decorated by Wendy Dixon, our Office Administrator
It was a shame to cut it but it had to be done!
Finally: A big thank you to everyone who attended. We had a great time
and hope you did too.
We will see you all again in 2038 for the 50th!
