Digital Media Wire’s “Future of TV” is just around the corner. Our CEO, Gene Hoffman,
was invited to be a panelist for: “OTT Delivery: The Future of the Virtual Multi-system
operators (MSOs).” This panel will discuss the emergence of new business models for
third-party distributors, television networks and competing operators as MSOs begin to
untether broadband pipes from the subscription television consumer product. In advance
of the conference, Clark Buckner with TechnologyAdvice, interviewed Gene regarding his
perspective on the conference, the future of TV/video/content, the disruptive subscription
market and the role that Vindicia plays. The full podcast is available below, but I’d like to
highlight two key points.
As Gene mentions in the interview, Vindicia enables our customers to respond to their
markets demands with a subscription model, particularly for over-the-top (OTT)
content. People want to watch what they want to, when they want to, where they want to
and use whatever device they want…we say give them what they want. We make it easier
for you to give your customers what they want while generating recurring revenue. This is
great for the end-users and businesses alike.

Gene also mentions that it is important to make it easy for customers to customize their
own solution by upgrading, downgrading or bundling. Our comprehensive subscription
billing and recurring payment solution, CashBox®, enables customers to change
their subscription billing preferences, allowing customers to choose the plan they want or
need instead of canceling. Superior customer acquisition and retention leads to increased
revenue, but can also lead to increased systems complexities. CashBox removes these
issues with proven reliability and scale. It is easy for your business to implement and
provides flexibility, so that you can be responsive to an ever-changing marketplace.
We hope that you will join us at the “Future of TV” to discuss the disruption in the
marketplace and how that disruption can be good for your business, especially as it relates
to the monetization of over-the-top (OTT) content and how a subscription solution can
create revenue lift for your organization.
The Interview was conducted by Clark Buckner from TechnologyAdvice.com (they provide
media coverage in the games and gamification industry. They have free guides on
clever strategies for employee training using games, customer loyalty gamification
software and much more). Also be sure to check out their tech conference calendar for
more great events like DMW Week.
