When you think naturally all different kinds of ideas occur to you

Some good, Some bad, Some complete and Some fragmented ideas.

The result of thinking process is CONCLUSION.

When you think, you work with huge amount of data. Being disorganized

during this stage is perfectly natural. (construction of building)

When you communicate with other than you don’t simply present that data.

Instead, you stress your conclusion and order your data.

That is called STRUCTURING.

Thinking ProcessThinking Process

The Thinking Process may be compared to an assembly line.

Your assumptions, which form the basis for your thinking,

are like assumptions about what will be produced:

Thinking Process have more three steps

1. Be aware of your Assumption Assumptions are the basis for all the rest of your thinking

In business communication you make assumptions

There are many Cases

Page 8: The message structure

Conclusions

Case1: Long term community relationships are more important to short term profit

Case2: You may have legal or moral reasons why you want to quit your job

Case1: “This program will increase our profits”. Assume

You want to make a profit

Case2: “I better finish this report tonight or I'll get fired”. Assume

you want to keep your job

Page 9: The message structure

2. Draw valid conclusion

Assumption and facts are what you start out with when you are

thinking; conclusions are what you end up with

It has two valid method exist:1. Deduction2. Induction

Deduction means starting with the main principle or assumptions. For example, business communication is important. Writing is the part

of business communication. Therefore, writing is an important.

1. Deduction

Page 11: The message structure

2. Induction

Induction means starting with specifics and generalizing to the main

principle. For example, ‘’ I will be spending a lot of time in business

participating in meeting, I will be a spending a lot of time writing letters,

I will be spending a lot of time talking on the telephone etc’’. Then draw

a generalizing, Therefore, I will be a spending a lot of time in

communication

Page 12: The message structure

You can avoid defects by remembering the three main rules

Do not jump too fast to conclusion (Sale strategy)

Do not hide yours ideas themselves and do not behind

illogical false ideas.

Do not over simplify

3. Avoid logical defects
