In the role of Connector for TEDxNaperville I helped coordinate and organize the first TEDx event in the Chicago suburbs. I also contribute regularly to Planetshifter.com Magazine on issues of sustainability and new mythology, Alarm Magazine on music and culture, and my own online cultural journal The Eyeless Owl.

Amateur or Auteur, we’ve all got a creative streak. Communication doesn’t just include words and text. Images, sounds and movement are sometimes more expressive and open a deeper dialogue.
In partnership with Planetshifter.com Magazine, I am co-founder of the [ open myth source ] project. We’re gathering conversations, stories, songs, images and interviews to foster understanding into the meaning, motives and processes of mythology and storytelling in the 21st century.
Various electronic publications have featured my illustrations, including Planetshifter.com Magazine, The Absurdist Monthy Review, Down and Dirty Word, Richard Stiennon’s IT security blog ThreatChaos, and my own electronic effort, The Eyeless Owl.
Some of the illustrations from a year long digital art project hosted by The Eyeless Owl have been transmuted into a collaborative animation featured at select venues in downtown Chicago during the Spring and Fall of 2010. In addition to this, the Long Now Foundation, founded by computer pioneer Daniel Hillis and Whole Earth founder Stewart Brand, has been kind enough to host one of my illustrations in their 10,000 year library vault.

As a society we’re seeing drastic changes from emergent technologies, a shifting cultural landscape and a tumultuous political climate. One of the most important things we can do is stay informed. Are you keeping an active eye on the winds of change?
In previous roles I’ve managed successful business intelligence projects analyzing the adoption of advanced technology within education, healthcare and small to mid-sized businesses; including analysis of the cultural, psychological and social changes that occur during these adoption cycles.
These skills have proven invaluable in creating communications strategies that are both effective and relevant to long term goals and solutions. Intelligent conversation requires intelligent information, and I’m adept at discovering key points and vital movements to carry a message home.
