Our Aquaduct brand creates unique and beautifully designed covers and

components, using the latest cutting edge technology. Our attention to detail

allows you to harmoniously fuse together separate components within your

home, from shower drain covers to extractor fans and floor registers, using a

uniform design or finish.

Lateral Design Studio is a family run company with 30 years experience in the

construction industry. We take our inspiration from the Victorian era where

design was equally as important as function. We use only the best materials

and work with quality assured British manufacturers whenever possible.

Our stunning covers are available in a vast range of materials including

aluminium, stainless steel, bronze, brass, or even gold plated. Our products are

being used in bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens, lounges and hallways; adding a

designed element to:

In addition we can also offer designed sink strainers, shower bases, shower

screens and pop up wastes to name but a few. These products are being

with an existing pattern or logo, or commission a completely new one for you,

producing them in a choice of quality materials and beautiful finishes.

Our linear covers exude style and bring an air of sophistication to your shower or wet room environment. They replace bland sheet steel covers with a designed alternative, and offer optimum flow rates too.

Manufactured in Britain, they can be made to fit all major linear drain systems, in a choice of quality materials. Lightpoint Module - for square & round ACO systems

The Lightpoint utilises sensor technology which means it automatically switches on when it comes into contact with water. It creates low level ambient lighting inside your square or round ACO drain system using highly efficient, long lasting L.E.D. lights. The module is fully rechargeable and comes supplied with a UK adaptor.

Lightline Modules – for all linear drain systems

The Lightline is made up of two efficient L.E.D. illumination modules which sit neatly at either end of the linear drain. Lateral Design Studio completed a project for the up-market Ten Pilates group in London. We produced these hand polished stainless steel grilles for their shower rooms, each perfectly cut with an intricate Ten Pilates logo.

Our radiator covers turn a simple mundane component into a masterpiece, using only the highest quality materials available. Typically these pieces are produced using an unsightly mesh detailing, our architectural quality covers introduce a new designed element to them.

They can be tailored to suit both modern and traditional styles, in a range of materials and simply stunning finishes. These covers can be folded or welded with legs to ensure a secure yet seamless fixing to the radiator box.

The covers pictured were produced for a radiator box situated in an en-suite bathroom in London. It features our highly popular ‘Geo Squares’ design, produced in an aged bronze finish.

They were attached to the unit using hidden legs which were folded at either end to produce a high end, seamless finish.

We have introduced a designed element to floor registers, producing components which deliver on function and excel in design. We were commissioned to design three decorative brass floor registers for a London home. Our pattern had to encompass a floral design and incorporate a Greek centre piece which the client had seen on a historic floor vent.

In addition, the scale of the pattern resulted in large open areas within the design, to combat this we provided a black powder coated expanded mesh underneath as a heel safe measure. The registers can be produced in a wide range of core materials and finishes such as brass, bronze, copper, & powder coated to any RAL colour.

This bespoke floor register was produced with a unique ‘Columbus’ pattern for a lounge area. The design was scaled to ensure sufficient open space for the floor heater underneath.

It was cut from solid bronze and has a beautiful antique finish which was achieved by applying an aged patina with a satin top coat. There are a wide variety of unique designs and finishes available to suit all project styles.

Aquaduct Air Conditioning & Vent Covers

From a simple recessed square air vent to an air conditioning grille with a historic Islamic design, we can transform your functional vent or air brick cover into a highly designed product.

These pieces can be used in a variety of applications including room and fire ventilation. They can be recessed and fixed with secret magnetic fixings. These pieces are suitable for internal and external use as optional extras including insect mesh can be easily added to ensure they are fully fit for purpose.

These vents can be designed with a ‘hit and miss’ or a rear open and close mechanism, which are both controlled from the front.

The designs pictured have a bronze finish, we used two different shades to ensure the optimum depth of colour was achieved.

Our designed air conditioning grilles can be tailor made to mask your unit in a smart and sophisticated pattern, using a variety of quality metals including aluminium and stainless steel. Directional Louvers can be added to channel airflow in the direction required.

Choose from a wide variety of designs or allow our in-house team to create a completely new one for you, there are countless finishes available to complete your piece to perfection.

We were commissioned to produce replacements for two air conditioning diffusers for the famous L’Etranger restaurant in London, which won a best members club award in 2014.

The restaurants’ name was based on a famous French novel written by Albert Camus. We took the original book cover and cleverly designed our diffusers to reflect the essence of it. We provided matching drip trays in polished stainless steel to extend their branding into new areas of the restaurant.

Aquaduct Fan Covers

We have gained inspiration from our rich design heritage to offer new sophisticated face plates for extractor fans. Our interchangeable pieces offer a wide range of different design accents, which can be followed through to other components including drain, radiator covers and more. The plates, which can be produced from a variety of metals including stainless steel, brass or bronze, can be seamlessly integrated with their

environment using a uniform design or colour as a backing plate. This colour block will highlight your chosen design to maximum effect.

A full range of silent extractor fans are available in various sizes with 100mm or 150mm outlets. Various specifications are available from a basic timed unit to one with a humidity control feature.

Aquaduct Kitchen Sink Strainers

We have made the humble sink strainer a special feature in your kitchen, by transforming it into your very own piece of art. We’ve carefully selected seven designs which will complement both modern and classical settings, adding a professional designed element to your kitchen sink or waste disposal unit. The strainers can be produced from a variety of metals and a choice of fine finishes. They come complete with a waste stop which fits the majority of U.K. sink units. These sink strainers made the finals of the Society of British & International Design Awards 2013.

Aquaduct Decorative Screens

Our decorative screens create layers and help to divide open spaces beautifully. Whether it’s an office reception area or for the home, we can produce these magnificent pieces in metals including stainless steel and aluminium, with a countless number of designs and finishes available.

These screens are also perfect for windows where a level of privacy is required, as they also allow natural daylight to permeate through the glass. We can tailor the open spaces within the design to ensure the optimum level of privacy for your project.


Aquaduct Shower Bases

Our shower bases are designed to inspire. Their focus starts at their centre, with one of our drain covers. We use that design intent and spin the pattern across the entire shower base, or we can explode it across your entire wet room floor. Materials available include stone, marble, resin and steel which are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Pictured: Our ’classic shield’ shower base is made from natural brown sandstone, inset with stainless steel detailing. It was featured in a silver award winning garden at the Hampton Court Flower Show.

Case Study 1: London Mosque

FunctionalVisually Stunning


The Masjid-e-Yusuf mosque in north-east London updated its Wudu washroom and asked Lateral Design Studio to provide a bespoke design for their drainage grates. We provided over six metres of 5mm thick stainless steel grates, cut with a contemporary “geo-round” pattern, and finished with a contrasting Islamic themed focal point.

Cleverly, the round section captures the tap water at its exact centre. These patterns can be extended to other components including room and window screens too.

Our bespoke service also gives you the opportunity to laser etch your pieces to enhance a pattern or include a name or logo. The piece above was carefully cut to allow enough space for the name of the mosque to be laser etched onto it, creating a unique personalised finish to the project. We are continuing to work with the Mosque on new and exciting ways to improve their surroundings. Our grilles have also been specified for a new project in Doha, Quatar where they will be used in washrooms within the Doha Metro system.

Aqualevel is a new level access channel drain that works with a wide range of glazed door systems including sliding, bi-fold, and lift & slide.

It provides you with a specifically designed integral level access drain solution, fully protects your home from the elements and allows you to use a choice of architectural quality covers to take your project to the next level.

Our covers come in a range of designs and materials including stylish & modern stainless steel, smart & natural stone composite, and classic & sophisticated cast iron; so they can be tailored to suit both traditional and modern schemes.
