Thank you for taking the time to consider the attached resume and portfolio. I’m actively pursuing a position with an architecture firm that can use my talents to their utmost. I have experience as a designer, job captain, project manager as well as 3d modeler, illustrator and marketing assistant. I have contributed on hospitality, senior-housing, education and medical projects and feel that these skills can be translated to any other project type easily. Resort at Tropicana:Project role:Projectmanager/DesignerFirm: AMAAThe Resort at Tropciana in Las Vegas is a 208-unit conversion from apartment to timeshare resort. From the new entry and signage to the enhanced check-in building this resort has a new and modern life. The residential buildings were given added exterior detailing and a bright new color scheme while the interior of the units were completely remodeled to reflecte Wyndhams standards. The amenity areas were enhanced with additional hot tubs, barbecue areas, and tensile parking covers.

Resort at Grand ElkProject role: JobCaptian/Designteam Firm:AMAAThe Resort at Grand Elk is a phased timeshare project for wyndham vacation ownership located near prime skiing and golfing areas in Colorado. The project was to consist of a 54 unit lodge building with 16 free-standing presidential and delux units. This was to be an addition to an existing golf resort and the architectural vernacular was described to be “rustic”.

Resort at Deer HarborProject role: JobCaptain/designteam Firm:AMAALocated on Orcas island in the San Juans of Washington State, the Resort at Deer Harbor was to be a renovation and expansion of an existing resort. The presence of shore line restrictions and an historic building on the property added to the complexity of the project. The design team was tasked with remodeling 14 existing buildings while adding 7 additional buildings. The focus of the design intent was to maintain the historic character of the existing buildings while integrating complementary modern buildings to the resort.

South Lake Tahoe EVR:Project role: JobCaptain Firm: AMAAThe South Lake Tahoe EVR project was an addition of a new wing to an existing building. The existing building had three of four wings built and we were to completing the original design intent but updating the room finishes. In addition to new finishes we were required to update the envelope detailing to meet current energy codes.

Village Square at Foster CityProject role: JobCaptianSkilledNursingFacilityFirm: AMAAVillage Square at Foster City is a mixed use project that included 331 senior housing units, 65 affordable housing units, retail and a skilled nursing facility. My role was design development of the skilled nursing facility utilizing Autodesk Revit 2008.

Everett Senior Housing:Project role: JobCaptian/designteamFirm: AMAAEverett Senior housing is a mixed resident senior care facility in an urban environment. The Second floor houses all of the administration offices and common amenities including cafeteria and medical center. The third and fourth floor was for memory care residents that need 24 hour nursing staff. The fifth and sixth floor housed the assisted living residents in studios and one, or two bedroom units.

Oregon Urology instituteProject role: JobCaptian/designteamFirm: Affolter,West&JonesOregon Urology Institute is the largest urological facility in the northwest. I was responsible for schematic through construction drawings and provided three facade style studies based on client input. With a low and long profile the prairie style fit the building and what the client was looking for.

Skyway Medical Surgery Center and Professional Plaza:Project Role: JobCaptainFirm: Affolter,West&JonesSkyway Medical Surgery Center and professional plaza is a multi-building medical development in Chico California. The Ambulatroy surgery center is a 12,600-sq-ft multi-specialty surgery center housing 3 operating rooms & 2 procedure rooms all equipped with the latest technology & equipment. It performs over 4,200 surgeries annually and is owned and operated by a collection of 20 doctors. The professional plaza provides office space for some of these doctors and other medical service providers.

Condon Hall ExpansionProject role: JobCaptian/designteamFirm: Affolter,West&JonesProposed expansion study to the University of Oregon’s Condon Hall. The proposed expansion would house the map library, the geography department and the anthropology department. I worked on plans, elevations and provided the main presentation images.
