Celebrating Free WillThrough Education“College is a place where students find out who they are and what they ultimately strive to become. At the University of Mount Olive, it is our goal for our students to be transformed by their journey here. Rather than just allowing the academic, spiritual, and social parts of students’ lives to coexist, we strive to teach students how to combine them. When students choose to incorporate their faith into all these different pieces of theirs lives—to truly integrate them—then their lives take on a new dimension, and that is our goal, our mission, our purpose.”

The Gospels and the Power of GodMatthew, Mark, Luke, and John all have astonishing insights into the power by which God raised Jesus from the dead. Their insights are both unique and complementary. Each Gospel embodies the movement of Spirit in the life of Jesus. The Gospels give us the eyes to recognize the movement of Spirit in our lives today.

The University of Mount Olive has helped me in so many ways. Being there
has helped me become the person that I am today. UMO has impacted my
life through the classes, the professors and staff, and the friends I have made.
They have all helped prepare me for the future. The things that I have learned
in class and out of class will help me to continue to grow and to apply them
in ministry wherever I serve. UMO is the place that I call my second home.
Jonathan Whitford, Senior New Bern, NC Religion
The UMO style of programming at Wilmington has been the main thing that has
helped me succeed thus far. Only having to focus on one class at a time for 5 weeks
has given me the opportunity to delve into every class with intention and get more
out of it than an entire semester of traditional classes. Like most people, I don’t come
from a lot of money, so being able to work while attending class fulltime is a must.
A few years ago I felt confused and frustrated about how I could ever go back to
school, but since I’ve been at UMO, I am able to look at my future with excitement.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have recommended the University of
Mount Olive’s Wilmington program to friends and neighbors. I would encourage
anyone who wants to return to college to go for it.
Angela McLeod Stocki, Junior Wilmington, NC Early Childhood Education
The University of Mount Olive and the Agriculture Education Program have
positively impacted my student life and professional future. The Ag-Ed Program
has given me hands-on learning experiences, one-on-one interactions with
knowledgeable and caring faculty, and the ability to impact my community
through campus and club involvement. The Program opened doors to real-world
internship experiences I would not have had access to otherwise, and prepared
me to excel in them. I am better prepared to enter a profession thanks to the
skills and knowledge I have gained as a student at the University of Mount Olive.

Making a difference for MOC Athletics
It is with great pleasure that we are Trojan Club members. As business owners living and working in Mount Olive, we see first-hand how Mount Olive College is an asset to our community, shaping young minds and guiding students’ futures during such an important time in their lives. Being a student-athlete adds an extra dimension to the college experience, requiring that student-athletes give it their all in the classroom and in their sport. We are proud of the College’s student-athletes and hope that our donations, and the support of others, will help to continue and strengthen the fine tradition of athletics at Mount Olive College.
John and Deanna RyanOwners, Pizza Village
The Trojan Club offers our family, as fans of Mount Olive College athletics, the opportunity to support gifted student-athletes and coaches. As the parent of three boys, I realize that athletics plays an important role in the development of the whole person. The student-athletes of Mount Olive College are taught about respect, integrity and hard work, all of which are lessons they will take with them beyond the game and into life. Mount Olive College’s student-athletes strive to be the best, and we enjoy attending athletic events together as a family to cheer them on. Go Trojans!!

Having been a part of Trojan athletics for 47 years, I have watched Trojan athletics grow from one sport to 20. I’m so proud of all that has been accomplished in the athletics program, not only during team competition but the many other programs and activities that help our student-athletes become well-rounded young men and women.
OUR support of the Trojan Club can help raise the bar for Mount Olive College athletics, showing our student-athletes that we care and that we support them and their dedication to Mount Olive College. I am proud to support the Mount Olive College Trojan Club - will you join me?

The financial support of the Trojan Club helps fund special projects, equipment needs, facility enhancements, and many other items for our 400 student-athletes on 20 varsity teams.
As a Trojan Club member, you play a very important role in building and sustaining a quality athletics program at UMO. By joining the Trojan Club, you are not only helping our student-athletes obtain an exceptional educational and social experience, you are joining many others in a commitment to athletic excellence. Whatever the level, your gift is an investment in the lives of our students.
Gifts may be in the form of cash, credit card, stock transfer, payroll deduction (UMO employees only), and, under special circumstances, in-kind gifts such as equipment or supplies. Monthly installment payments are also available.
