Similarities between my music

video and the Adele “Hello” music video

I used various medium close-up shots throughout my video as I saw that in the Adele video they were used fairly frequently. I did this to portray the emotions of the actress to the audience.

While watching the Adele video, I saw a shot of her making a cup of tea. I wanted to recreate this as I feel that it links well with the genre of the music and portrays the emotion of sadness.

This again is a medium close up shot. You can see more emotion from the artist. I also liked the outside element of the Adele video which is why I chose some of my locations.

There were many pov shots used throughout Adele's video. I liked how it portrayed a more personal memory and linked well with the genre. I incorporated some pov shots too to show her memories of him.

This again is a point of view shot. I liked how he was talking into the camera as it captures a more intimate moment between them which is something that I wanted to include in my video.

This point of view shot represents the turmoil in the relationship and shows how it started to break down. It makes it more personal as the audience will feel that they are shouting directly at them.

These close-up shots add a slight abstract element and make it more vivid to watch. It also portrays emotion for the audience. This also links to the point of view shots that I have also used.
